Meet The Designers

Carole McClellan

Carole McClellan is an American designer noted for her use of leathers and repurposed fur. She began her career professionally in the late 1970’s, when she moved to Seattle from the Sun Valley, Idaho area and was discovered by Ann Wilson of Heart, for whom she designed and fabricated iconic rock and roll looks. Her work has been sold in stores such as Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Mario’s Seattle. Carole’s designs are available under her own label, under Sovereign, her leather and cashmere fashion basics line, and a line of leather wine accessories, Wine Gloves™. Carole also creates original, bespoke couture leather and fur garments and specialized fur restyling. In 2003, Carole became the first American designer invited to exhibit at the Young Designers Pavilion at Le Cuir a Paris. She was the winning designer of “The Independent Designer Runway” at the Bellevue Collection in 2012.

Dawn Mostow is a Harvard University-educated artist and latex designer. Her Dawnamatrix line of luxury latex couture and accessories represents a revolution, merging fine art with high fashion. Dawn says of her hard-working fashion ethos: “It is my goal to showcase the range of possibilities available when creating garments in latex, and to infuse the designs with self-expression, romance, sensuality, and strength.”  After living and teaching for many years in Japan, Dawn has come to be known as much by her one-of-a-kind latex kimonos and dresses as by her unique pieces of both vintage couture and futuristic fashion. One of the world’s premier latex designers, Dawnamatrix designs have graced the runways of Paris, NYC, Seattle, Boston, Montreal, Amsterdam, and Copenhagen.  Her garments have been featured in magazines such as Vogue, WWD, Interview, CR Fashion Book, and L’Officiel.
